Dr. Kiruba Vembu is a practicing palliative care physician currently working in the United States.
She completed medical school and internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She moved to San Diego, California after residency, working as a hospitalist for the After Southern California Permanente Medical Group. During this time, she found an interest in palliative care, eventually pushing her to fellowship. She chose Tulane University to further develop her skills and passion for expanding access to palliative care, especially to rural areas; she has presented on this and related topics in the United States and abroad.
