Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC)

Pallium India has an ongoing membership with the Center to Advance Palliative Care in New York.

Consultative Status (Special Category) with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)

Pallium India has gained the prestigious consultative status with the United National Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to allow us to participate in high-level international conversations to steer policy and priorities for the United Nations. Pallium India participated in the 67th Commission on the Status of Women in March 2023
and the Open Ended Working Group on Aging in April 2023. These venues presented us opportunities to advocate for palliative care, the inclusion of women, and the rights of aging persons

University of Iowa

Since 2009, the University of Iowa has enjoyed a strong relationship with the clinical site of Pallium India, the Trivandrum Institute of Palliative Sciences (TIPS). Dr. Jo Eland, College of Nursing, brought University of Iowa Health Science students annually to TIPS while they were enrolled in the award-winning course, India Winterim. Dr. Eland was joined by Dr. Ann Broderick who, after Dr. Eland s death, continued the program with Dr. Kashelle Lockman and Dr. Stephanie Gilbertson-White. In 2023, the International Programs and Pallium India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will promote bilateral exchange of research, clinical teaching, visiting scholars, and sponsorship of educational opportunities
